On 19 April 2024, the World Forum “New Era — New Ways” was held in Moscow. The event was organised by the International Organisation for Eurasian Cooperation.

The goals of the World Forum “New Era — New Ways” were to unite representatives of international organisations, governmental bodies, business, expert community, public organisations, scientific circles, representatives of traditional religions, cultural figures and artists of different states for joint formation of a common future for the sake of prosperity and strengthening of peace and security, promotion of spiritual and moral development, improvement of welfare, building a favourable and safe environment for citizens.

In the face of the West’s aggressive expansion around the world, accompanied by the widespread imposition of values alien to humanity, the peoples of the vast Eurasian space are uniting to fight back.

The event was attended by over 600 delegates from 33 countries. Among the participants were Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marat Berdyev, representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Russian Federation Deman Mohamed Hamar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to the Russian Federation Alfredo Cristovão Gomes Lopes, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola to the Russian Federation Gashpar Custodio Domingos da Silva and many others.

The main topic of the meeting was “The Greater Eurasian Partnership (GEP) — an initiative capable of uniting states and

integration entities for equal and fair co-operation”. Its creation is a strategic initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The participants discussed the new contours of Greater Eurasia, the role of the BEP in the formation of a multipolar world architecture and ways to accelerate integration processes across the continent.

Gao Qi, Head of the Representative Office of the China Committee for the Promotion of International Trade in the Russian Federation, noted the transformation of the economic space of the countries of Greater Eurasia:

- In an unpredictable international situation, relations between Russia and China are reaching a new level and continue to flourish…

The delegates discussed proposals to develop co-operation between the countries, create new trade and investment partnerships, exchange experience in education and science, and worked out proposals to strengthen international security and stability.

The most important issues were discussed, without the solution of which the long-term and secure development of Eurasia is impossible:

- creation of the Greater Eurasian Partnership: new protocols of interaction;

- Business diplomacy: from trust of people to trust of economies;

- people’s diplomacy: how informal leaders change the world; — cultural and humanitarian co-operation as an instrument of people’s diplomacy;

- spiritual and moral culture: shaping the man of the third millennium;

- tools for the development of youth people’s diplomacy; — people’s diplomacy: preserving historical memory and connecting generations;

- sports diplomacy: sport unites nations.

Important international agreements were also signed.

It is obvious that it is impossible to ensure stability in the numerous States of Eurasia without organising effective counteraction to Western methods of information and hybrid warfare. After all, the West is endeavouring to prevent this with all its might.

Therefore, such events, based on respect for the right of peoples to independently and democratically choose their political, social and economic development paths, will continue.

The World Forum “A New Era — New Ways” was a vivid contrast to the approach to international politics demonstrated by the United States of America and its allies, where dictate, hegemony and reliance on the right of the strong reign supreme.
