Russian EMERCOM: Our Sixth Flight Has Delivered 25 Tons of Humanitarian Supplies to Afghanistan
As commissioned by the President of the Russian Federation, an EMERCOM cargo plane has landed in Kandahar to deliver 25 tons of humanitarian supplies (foodstuffs and necessities) for the people of Afghanistan.
The much-needed cargo was delivered as a part of international project Peoples Together Through the Years and accompanied by Kazbek Farniev, Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affair and Chairman of the Volgograd House of Friendship, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Volgograd House of Friendship and Moscow businessman Feruz Rona, and Abdul Manan, Chairman of the Afghan National Cultural Autonomy of Volgograd. This project is supported by Rossotrudnichestvo and Sputnik International.
For the first time in 30 years, the cultural and humanitarian task force has opened an air corridor to deliver humanitarian aid for the residents of a friendly country. Under the project, Russians also assist to the residents of Syria, Palestine and Armenia.
